Patricia, a dynamic lawyer with roots in Wadsworth, Illinois, has a rich educational and professional background that has shaped her into the legal advocate she is today. A proud alumnus of Warren Township High School, she was an active athlete, participating in the Girls' Varsity Tennis and Track Teams. Alongside this, Patricia diligently attended Greek School, nurturing her understanding of her culture and maintaining her bilingual skills.
Post-high school, Patricia chose to further her studies at Roosevelt University in Chicago. Here, she not only pursued her Bachelor of Science in Political Science but also obtained a Paralegal Certificate. As a student leader, she co-founded the Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority, which later gained national recognition as Alpha Gamma Delta. Patricia also served as President of the Student Government Association, demonstrating her leadership qualities early on.
Her commitment to law led her to Western Michigan University, Thomas M. Cooley School of Law. During her law school years, Patricia was an active member of the Women's Lawyer Association and volunteered at the Dispute Resolution Center of Western Michigan. This experience refined her negotiation skills across civil and criminal matters. She also dedicated time to educate soldiers about their legal rights as a volunteer for the Judge Advocate General.
Patricia's last semester of law school saw her interning full-time at the Lake County State's Attorney Office in Waukegan, Illinois. Representing the State of Illinois in various hearings and trials, she honed her skills in jury selection, trial preparation, and conducting trials.
Upon gaining her Juris Doctorate and her admission to the Illinois State Bar in 2012, Patricia initially delved into civil work. She worked on personal injury and mortgage foreclosure defense cases before taking on her first criminal defense attorney role at the Will County Public Defender's Office in 2013. Her tenure there saw her passionately defending her clients, highlighting her dedication to understanding their stories and representing their rights.
Outside of her professional life, Patricia is an avid runner, has completed a half-marathon, and enjoys traveling, especially to visit her extended family in Greece. Currently, she is a resident of Shorewood, IL, and continues to serve as a staunch defender of her clients' rights.
